Hey friends! it has been a minute since I jumped on here to share some of my thoughts and updates on our family. A lot has happened as you can imagine within the last couple of years. I will get to all of that soon, but first I just wanted to chat for a bit.

As this new year has started, I’ve decided to take a hiatus from socials. My Facebook has been deactivated and very rarely will you find me on Instagram. This is a personal conviction of mine, and one I may discuss in a later post, but here on this blog is where you will find most updates from now on.

Recently I have really felt the desire to write more. To share what God is teaching me, and to hopefully stir your affections for God too. I’m hoping that this blog will be the beinning of some great content and encouragement for others. This first post though will mostly be an update. So here we go!

Our family is still in Louisiana at our first duty station. We have soft orders to move back up to Virginia in the fall for Trey to complete a 6 month course. After that, he will promote and we will move on to our next station. We are excited to see where the Lord is going to place us next.

We now have two little girls! C was born in January of 2021 and just had her first birthday. H is 2 and is the best big sis. We are navigating toddlerhood and everything that comes along with it at the moment. My days feel very busy with both girls needing me, but I’m enjoying it. I’m grateful to be a stay at home mom and get to start teaching our girlies about God, the world, and more as they grow up.

Not much else is new here. I’ve had some weird health things happen in the last 6 months that we’re still currently working through, but other than that, we’re just taking it day by day. Enjoying our time here in Louisiana while waiting for the next steps!

What a picture of the Christian life. Living in the now and waiting for the not yet. We don’t do it perfectly, but God’s grace is sufficient. He’s growing us and sanctifying us in every moment, and for that I am grateful.

Hope y’all are doing well too and waiting expectantly on the Lord‘s provision each and every day.
