Our first weekend in Richmond eating some good food out on the river.

Well hello there! It's been a little bit since I last wrote a post for this blog and there is much to update you all with!

First off let me just tell y'all we are currently in Fort Lee for Trey's Quartermaster BOLC. We have been here almost a month and time really has flown honestly. It's been an interesting and exciting month for me adjusting to full time Army spouse life. We are living on post in the Army hotel. Hotel living is definitely different, but I'm honestly loving it. We have one room and even though it's a little on the small side, it's more than enough room for us. I spend my days resting, taking care of our dog, taking walks, reading, and spending time with the Lord.

This last month has been so restful and refreshing. I've never been completely free from work or school, so this new found time has been very beautiful and sanctifying. I'm falling more in love with scripture and getting to find real rest in God alone. I'm so thankful for this time because I know in a few short months I will have another job, being a full time mommy.

Now, what y'all are I'm sure ready to hear about. How is baby Jackson doing? Well since the last time I posted, we found out we are having a... little baby GIRL! We were so surprised and ecstatic when we found out back in early April. I am ready to meet this little mover and shaker. I can already tell I'm going to be running around after this little girl constantly. She moves all the time and is growing so well. She's definitely going to keep us on our toes. Only 15 more weeks until my due date! We are in the home stretch of waiting to meet her now and I cannot believe it.

Finding out baby Jackson is a girl!

Shortly after H is born we will be heading to our first duty station. We will be in Fort Polk, Louisiana. From what we can tell, it's going to be a lot like Statesboro, but with bigger mosquitoes! It's going to be hot and humid and the base is about 45 minutes away from the next biggest city. We will be right at home there I'm sure.

The time of transition is a little up in the air because of baby H’s arrival, but I'm trusting in God's timing and sovereignty over all of it. Wherever and whenever he wants us to have her will be perfect, and everything else will fall into place around that. Here's to trusting in God's sovereignty and trusting that his plans are better than my own. Thanks for reading y'all!
